Whether you require a commercial or private, indoor or outdoor ménage, or even gallops with an all weather surface, we can offer you a comprehensive service including earth works, drainage, fencing and access carried out by our approved riding arena installers around the country. General Description
Surface of top quality conifer bark and wood fibre, permitting use under all weather conditions. Surface and base are contained by Jakcured post and three-rail fencing, complete with a 3.6m gate. The riding surface is laid upon a prepared base to allow adequate drainage under normal conditions and Polyfelt membrane is laid between sub-soil and base, base and working surface. Jacksons offer a free survey and quotation without any obligation.
Soil Preparation
All top soil and vegetation removed from the riding area to an immediately adjacent area. Site then levelled.
Base Layer
Crushed stone, clean demolition rubble or similar material, as available locally, compacted to give an average thickness of 100mm and placed upon a prepared sub-soil. Drains can be installed as an optional extra.
Working Surface
Conifer bark and wood fibre, laid to a level thickness of 225mm on a separation and drainage membrane.
Riding Surfaces
Top quality conifer shavings, ideal for all weather riding surfaces for arenas and gallops, but not bedding.
You will require approx. 1000 for a 40 x 20m arena, 225mm deep.
